Carrie Tree - Thousand Days

I must have lived a thousand days like this before
As side to side, I'm haunted as my choices see-saw
All consumed, I am being eaten whole by
a hungry mind that's forever tugging at my soul

All you wild horses gather round
My spirits free never bound
I've come way too far to turn back now
We’ve come way too far to turn back now

It seems to me
Like I've been seeking this for years
A way to stand truthfully in my grace and in my tears
I'm growing roots
help me put them down
In a place that's green
As concrete is the cancer of our towns

All you wild voices gather round
Our spirits free never bound

I adore this, this sacred ground
I was born to this tender land
And we all have a choice to be present and kind this time round
As we've all gathered here
we've gathered together somehow
And we've come way too far to turn back now

I adore this, this sacred ground
we’ve come way too far to turn back now
I was born to this tender land
I adore this sacred ground
